Specifically, the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems division delivers mission-enabling solutions that provide superior situational awareness and cyber defense capabilities, protecting the United States and its allies through a robust portfolio of integrated multi-domain systems. The organization is currently seeking a dedicated Driver to support operations in Linthicum, Maryland.

The Driver role is crucial for ensuring seamless facility logistics, supporting internal and external transportation needs, and facilitating the movement of materials and personnel across various Northrop Grumman sites within Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia. This position involves handling incoming and outgoing mail and parcels, responding promptly to transportation requests, and operating cargo vans, trucks, and shuttle buses. The driver plays a vital role in daily shuttle services, VIP and event support, and shipment coordination, ensuring that organizational needs are met with efficiency and professionalism.

This position requires someone adaptable who can maintain a demanding schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. The successful candidate must exhibit multitasking abilities, handle logistics for events, maintain vehicle safety and upkeep, and provide courteous and confidential service when interacting with the public and company personnel. Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Five years driving experience
  • Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License A/B with Passenger endorsement
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Strong physical ability to load/unload materials
  • Adherence to all applicable state and federal motor vehicle laws and safety regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and present a professional appearance

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Five years driving experience
  • Ability to multitask and maintain flexibility in work schedule
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in operating cargo vans, trucks, shuttle buses
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures

Job Duties

  • Support daily shuttle services between local Northrop Grumman sites
  • Support VIP/event shuttle services for internal/external customers, political figures, and executive management
  • Load and unload trucks by hand or using forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Pick up/drop off mail from various post offices and distribute between local sites
  • Assist with scheduled events at the Northrop Grumman Pioneer Hall location including setups and teardowns
  • Maintain flexible work schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
  • Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain company vehicles
  • Deliver finished printed materials and manage paper/supply inventory for local teams
  • Manage pickup, staging, and shipping of recycled toners from BWI sites
  • Maintain storage/inventory and movement of materials within the loading dock area
  • Support accurate billing by maintaining records of daily services
  • Assist in large events requiring material/personnel movement
  • Present a neat and orderly appearance and maintain confidentiality
  • Comply with state and federal motor vehicle laws and operate vehicle using appropriate security measures
