Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a subsidiary of Delaware North, a global leader in hospitality and foodservice operations with over 100 years of history. The company is family-owned and has a strong reputation for delivering quality guest experiences in various iconic venues across the world. One of its key operations includes managing concessions, premium dining, and retail services at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Target Field, a 39,504-seat stadium, serves as the home of the Minnesota Twins. Since 2010, Delaware North has provided a diverse range of food and beverage options at this venue, including chef-attended action stations, carving stations, and fan-favorite menu items known as Taste of the Ballpark. This blend of quality dining and entertainment makes Delaware North a respected hospitality provider in the sports and entertainment industry.
This job opportunity is for seasonal cook positions at Target Field under Delaware North Sportservice. As a cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen team, preparing food to meet specified quality and portion standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and culinary excellence, offering a unique chance to work in a fast-paced, action-packed environment during sports events and other activities at the stadium. The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour, which is competitive for seasonal foodservice jobs. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy food preparation and want to gain valuable experience in a professional hospitality setting. As part of the team, cooks help maintain high food safety and sanitation standards, ensure proper food storage and freshness, and contribute to the overall guest experience by supporting the serving team.
The position offers flexible scheduling options including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends, making it suitable for individuals seeking part-time or seasonal employment. Delaware North also emphasizes employee well-being, providing weekly pay and discounts along with various training and development programs. Eligible employees have access to a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company match, paid vacation and holidays, parental bonding leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. Physically, the role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform manual kitchen duties such as chopping and operating kitchen equipment. If you have at least one year of experience in a back-of-house food service role, possess basic math skills, and can read prep sheets and recipes, this role offers a valuable opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a dynamic environment. Delaware North’s inclusive culture supports diversity and equal opportunity for all applicants irrespective of race, gender, age, or other protected categories. Join Delaware North Sportservice at Target Field and be part of a dedicated team that creates memorable experiences for guests while advancing your hospitality career.
