As a Porter / Shop Assistant, your responsibilities will include washing the exterior of fuel tankers, power washing and upkeep of the wash bays including walls and floors, as well as ensuring that tools, supplies, and vehicle areas remain orderly and hazard-free. This role involves active support to mechanics by assisting with vehicle maintenance tasks such as picking up parts and moving vehicles on the lot to facilitate easy access and repair scheduling. The position also entails assisting with the maintenance of the corporate office grounds and ensuring that all areas comply with applicable safety and cleanliness standards. The Porter / Shop Assistant must be highly motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and prepared to operate in varying weather conditions. Physical capabilities such as lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing ladders, and using power and hand tools are essential. This hourly, non-exempt position reports directly to the Operations Manager and offers an important entry point for those interested in the trucking and vehicle maintenance industry.
