The role of Truck Driver within Columbus City Schools is a full-time position located in Columbus, Ohio, within the Warehouse & Delivery Services Department. Under general supervision, the Truck Driver will load, drive, and unload trucks carrying a wide range of items including new and used furniture, band equipment, library books, textbooks, mail, educational materials, audio-visual resources, surplus supplies, and food products. The position requires familiarity with operating trucks of at least two and a half tons or larger and using material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and power tailgates.

In this role, the Truck Driver plays a critical part in supporting the school district’s operational functions. They ensure that essential supplies and equipment are delivered timely and safely to designated locations, supporting educational programming and facility management.
