The current opportunity is for a Full-time Local Class B Delivery Truck Driver position based in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is pivotal to Penske's commitment to superior customer service, as the driver will be responsible for delivering seafood to local restaurants, country clubs, and last-mile destinations on a consistent schedule. Drivers will operate late-model Penske trucks equipped with advanced safety features including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras, providing a secure and comfortable driving experience. One of the major advantages of this role is the Local schedule which ensures drivers are home daily, alongside a reliable pay rate of $25.43 per hour with eligibility for overtime pay after 40 hours worked. The typical workweek runs Tuesday through Saturday starting at 5 am, with required overtime on Mondays. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement
  • Currently domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in the state of residence
  • Ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • Minimum 1 year relevant commercial driving experience in the last 5 years
  • Clean driving record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years
  • Ability to follow federal and state transportation regulations
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to complete background investigation and drug screening
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely
  • Physical ability to frequently move, stand, walk, sit, lift up to 50lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100lbs
  • Legal operation of motor vehicles and safely enter/exit vehicle and cargo area

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement
  • Hold or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • Minimum 1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience within the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Proficient in English language
  • Knowledge of federal and state transportation laws and safety standards
  • Ability to work full-time schedule and pass background and drug screening

Job Duties

  • Drive late model Penske trucks designed for comfort and safety
  • Deliver seafood to local restaurants, country clubs, and final mile locations
  • Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed including use of in-cab cameras
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and customers
  • Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
  • Comply with all federal and state transportation regulations
