This Full-time Local Class B Delivery Truck Driver position based in Kent, Washington, offers an excellent compensation package starting at $30.42 per hour with overtime pay after 40 hours. The role is essential for delivering groceries to local stores using late-model trucks provided and maintained by Penske Truck Leasing. These trucks come with top-of-the-line specifications designed to enhance driver comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. Drivers will benefit from working a schedule that allows them to be home daily, supporting a healthy work-life balance. The operation runs 24/7, and candidates should expect flexible working hours depending on coverage needs.
The role primarily involves loading and unloading grocery crates, driving responsibly to ensure timely deliveries, and maintaining safety standards at all times. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement
- One year of commercial driving experience within last 5 years
- Ability to obtain or possess a current DOT medical card
- Clean driving record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in past 3 years
- Compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
- Regular and predictable attendance
- English language proficiency
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work safely and remain alert
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly and occasionally 100lbs
- Must be able to see, hear, stand, walk, sit, and frequently enter/exit vehicle and cargo area
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement
- Domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
- Ability to obtain or currently hold a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- Minimum 1 year of relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years
- DMV/MVR record of 3 years with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work in a safe manner with responsibility for self and others
Job Duties
