Job Description

Penske Logistics is a premier transportation and logistics company known for engineering state-of-the-art transportation, warehousing, and supply chain management solutions that deliver powerful business results for market-leading companies worldwide. The company operates across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, providing tailored logistics services that help businesses move forward by increasing visibility and driving down supply chain costs. With a reputation for stable employment, excellent management, and a strong safety record, Penske offers a dynamic work environment for its associates. The company places a high value on professionalism, customer service, and safety, supporting its employees with continuous training opportunities and a culture that promotes career growth and mobility within its nationwide locations.

This immediate opening is for a Full-time Local Class B Delivery Truck Driver, a critical role responsible for performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships in the local area. This position offers an average annual salary of $69,784 and a retention bonus of $10,000, underscoring Penske's commitment to rewarding its drivers. The role is local with drivers returning home daily, providing an excellent work-life balance. Drivers will work at various dedicated accounts and shifts as needed and will utilize manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages to unload trailers efficiently and safely. In addition, drivers will use scanners to accurately log products as they are unloaded and delivered.

The position’s schedule varies by work assignment, demanding flexibility and reliability, but promises consistent home time each day. Penske supports its drivers with comprehensive benefits from day one, including paid vacation and holidays, a generous retirement plan, excellent health care coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance. Employees also receive company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, an employee discount program, and performance-based incentives such as a driver referral bonus program up to $5,000 per referral and safety incentive programs. The Premier Driver Recognition Program celebrates driver achievements, fostering a positive team environment.

At Penske, drivers are not only responsible for transporting freight safely and on time but also for building lasting relationships with their accounts and representing the company and its clients professionally. Many drivers will operate trucks branded with client logos, reflecting the importance of maintaining positive brand reputations and excellent customer service standards.

This role requires compliance with all federal and state laws as well as a diligent focus on safety. Penske emphasizes the need for drivers to maintain a constant state of alertness, adhere to regulatory requirements, and accept responsibility for both their own safety and that of others. The company’s commitment to the well-being and development of its drivers makes this an attractive opportunity for those looking to advance their trucking careers with a nationally recognized and respected logistics company.
