Job Description
Penske Logistics is a global leader in transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions that serve some of the world's most prominent companies. With a significant presence in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske Logistics continually strives to provide efficient and innovative supply chain services that help businesses improve visibility, reduce costs, and enhance operational excellence. The company is committed to creating a supportive and dynamic work environment for its associates and offers industry-leading equipment and comprehensive training to ensure the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Penske is renowned for its stability and strong management, making it a highly respected name in the logistics and trucking industry.
This job opening is for full-time local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based out of South Windsor, CT, with Penske Logistics LLC. The offered annual salary averages $92,000, supplemented by a $3,000 safety bonus and a driver referral bonus program providing up to $5,000 per referral. Local drivers enjoy the benefit of home daily schedules, making it a perfect position for individuals seeking a consistent and stable routine. Drivers will operate late model trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing, which come equipped with best-in-class specifications designed for comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras.
The role emphasizes dock-to-dock deliveries of palletized grocery products, and importantly, does not require pallet breakdown, easing the physical demands of the job. Drivers are expected to maintain high safety standards while making local deliveries. Multiple schedule options are available, including an 11 pm start time, with additional incentives for picking up extra workdays. Penske offers a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including paid vacation and holidays, generous retirement benefits, excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage, short and long-term disability insurance, life and AD&D insurance, company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, as well as employee discount programs. The driver referral and safety incentive programs recognize and reward drivers’ commitment and performance.
Joining Penske means becoming part of a professional team committed to delivering products safely and timely, representing both Penske and its clients with pride—a company that offers career mobility across many locations nationwide, continuous training and development opportunities, reliable weekly pay, and a strong emphasis on driver safety and wellbeing. Candidates will find this role ideal if they seek a rewarding and secure career in professional truck driving with a reputable company that values and supports its workforce at every step.
