This opportunity is for full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers located in Batavia, Illinois. Penske Logistics offers competitive compensation with an average annual salary of $90,000 along with additional incentives such as a $3,000 annual safety bonus. Drivers benefit from the availability of a 4-day workweek, allowing a better balance between work and personal life, and the comfort of returning home daily, as all deliveries are local. Drivers operate late-model trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing, known for their best-in-class specs, ensuring a comfortable and safe driving experience. The trucks come equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras as part of the company’s commitment to driver safety and accountability, along with 24/7 roadside assistance and regular maintenance.

The primary role of the CDL Class A Truck Driver includes making dock-to-dock deliveries of palletized grocery products. Notably, pallet breakdown is not required, allowing drivers to focus on safe and timely deliveries. Multiple work schedules are offered, including PM start times, and drivers receive an additional $200 incentive for working a fifth and/or sixth day. Job Requirements

  • follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • English language proficiency is required
  • work the required schedule and at the specific location
  • complete Penske employment application and submit to background investigation and drug screening
  • ability to work safely and remain alert at all times
  • ability to accept responsibility for own safety and that of others
  • must be able to see and hear
  • ability to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms
  • able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally
  • ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit vehicle and cargo area
  • applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence

Job Qualifications

  • valid Class A CDL required
  • ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • proficiency in English language
  • compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
  • regular and predictable attendance

Job Duties
