Penske Logistics is currently seeking full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers to join their dynamic team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role offers an average annual salary of $105,000 and includes numerous financial incentives such as a $5,000 retention bonus, a $3,000 annual safety bonus, and a driver referral bonus program that provides up to $5,000 per referral. Drivers have the privilege of operating late-model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks equipped with best-in-class comfort features and advanced safety technologies, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras designed to promote a safe driving environment.
As a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver with Penske Logistics, you will deliver palletized groceries to local stores without the need for pallet breakdowns, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries. The schedule is designed to provide quality work-life balance, with home daily and a workweek from Friday through Monday starting at 6 pm. This schedule accommodates drivers looking for consistency and the ability to spend time at home without compromising earnings or job security.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- valid Class A CDL required
- must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
- current or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- documented tractor-trailer driving experience
- clean driving record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in past three years
- compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
- reliable and predictable attendance
- English proficiency as per federal law
- successful completion of background check and drug screening
- ability to maintain safety sensitive status
- physical ability to perform essential job functions including lifting up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
- current or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- one year of documented tractor-trailer experience in last three years or two years in last five years
- three years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- comply with federal and state laws and regulations
- able to work regular, predictable full attendance
- English language proficiency
- able to pass background investigation and drug screening
- physically able to meet job demands
- safety sensitive with ability to work alert and safely
