Penske Logistics is currently offering immediate opportunities for full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position offers an average annual salary of $80,000 and the advantage of local routes that allow drivers to be home daily, promoting work-life balance and stability. Drivers will operate late-model trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing, which are equipped with best-in-class comfort features and inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety for drivers and the public.

As a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver at Penske, your main responsibility will be to conduct liftgate deliveries using dollies, handling approximately 40 stops per week. You will be expected to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during interactions with customers, reinforcing Penske and its clients' reputations for excellent customer service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • current and valid DOT medical card
  • clean driving record for 3 years
  • ability to understand and comply with DOT regulations
  • ability to work scheduled hours consistently
  • pass background check including employment, education, and criminal history
  • pass drug screening
  • ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally
  • legal ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • physical ability to enter and exit the vehicle and cargo areas safely

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
  • currently hold or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • ability to follow all federal, state laws and company rules
  • English language proficiency
  • ability to work at specific locations and schedules
  • ability to maintain alertness and safety at all times
