Penske operates across various locations in the United States and offers a diverse range of services that cater to different industries, making it a leader in the transportation and logistics sector.
This particular job opportunity is for full-time local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Penske is currently hiring experienced drivers offering an average annual salary of $82,342. This role is perfect for professional drivers who hold a Hazmat endorsement and have forklift experience. The drivers will operate locally, allowing them to be home daily, which is a significant advantage for work-life balance. Penske provides late-model, well-maintained trucks equipped with advanced safety features including inward and outward facing in-cab cameras, ensuring drivers have the best working environment possible.
As a Class A CDL Truck Driver at Penske, your primary responsibility will be to perform multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts and supplies to various dealerships. Each week, drivers are expected to complete around 20 stops, carefully unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages. The use of a scanner is integral to this role for accurately tracking products as they are delivered and unloaded, maintaining high standards of inventory control and operational efficiency.
Scheduling for this position includes dispatch times starting from approximately 9:45 PM to 10:00 PM, operating on a five-day schedule from Sunday through Thursday, with an average of 56 working hours per week. Penske emphasizes safety and comfort, equipping drivers with trucks that have best-in-class specifications to ensure a comfortable and secure driving experience. Drivers are also provided with company uniforms and safety footwear as part of the comprehensive benefits package.
Penske's benefits package for its truck drivers is extensive, featuring paid vacation and holidays starting from day one, generous retirement plans, excellent health care coverage including medical, dental, and vision, short and long-term disability insurance, and life and AD&D insurance. This robust suite of benefits demonstrates Penske's dedication to supporting the health and well-being of its employees and their families. Additional incentives include employee discount programs, driver referral bonuses up to $5000, safety incentive programs, and premier driver recognition programs aimed at rewarding outstanding performance and commitment.
Working at Penske is about more than just driving; it is about being part of a professional team that prides itself on exceptional customer service and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Drivers represent both Penske and the clients they serve, often driving branded trucks and wearing uniforms that reflect the company's professional image. Penske offers numerous training opportunities and the potential for career growth with locations nationwide, providing employees with the flexibility to relocate as they advance their careers.
In summary, this role is ideal for qualified CDL Class A drivers who value a stable work environment with excellent equipment, great pay, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to be home daily. If you are ready to elevate your truck driving career with a reputable industry leader, Penske invites you to apply and become part of their dedicated team delivering products safely and on time.
