The company is widely respected for its innovative approach in logistics and its ability to provide efficient and reliable services tailored to the needs of various industries. Known for its workforce of skilled associates and its investment in technology and equipment, Penske Logistics stands as a premier choice for professionals seeking a stable and rewarding career in transportation and logistics.
Penske Logistics is currently offering immediate full-time opportunities for local Class A CDL Truck Drivers at its facility located at 789 W Margaret Street in Thornton, Illinois. This role offers a competitive annual salary averaging $88,000 and includes a 5-day workweek with a 10:00 AM start time, capped by having Tuesdays and Saturdays off. One of the key highlights of this position is the ability for drivers to be home daily, providing an ideal work-life balance that is often difficult to find in the trucking industry. The role entails operating late-model Penske truck leasing trucks that feature best-in-class specifications designed for comfort and enhanced safety measures, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. These advanced features are aimed to provide the safest working environment for drivers and ensure the security of cargo and road safety.
As a Class A CDL Truck Driver with Penske Logistics, you will be responsible for delivering bread products to customers, averaging eight stops per week. A professional and courteous demeanor is expected while interacting with customers, maintaining the highest standards of customer service and company representation. This role emphasizes punctuality, safety, and effective communication to build strong relationships with clients and uphold Penske’s reputation for excellence. The company values its drivers not only as operators but also as important ambassadors who represent the firm and its clients alike, often driving branded trucks and wearing client-specific uniforms.
Penske provides comprehensive benefits starting from day one, including paid vacation and holidays, generous retirement benefits, and excellent health care coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additionally, short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, company-provided uniforms, an employee discount program, a driver referral bonus program up to $5,000 per referral, and safety incentive programs are part of the benefits package. The Premier Driver Recognition Program further rewards excellence and dedication among the driving team.
Choosing a career with Penske means joining a dynamic and nationwide company known for its exceptional equipment, outstanding management, transparent communication, and strong safety culture. The company pays drivers weekly and strives to create a supportive environment where employees can thrive and grow their careers. Penske offers ample training opportunities and nationwide locations, allowing for mobility and career advancement. If you are ready to take your truck-driving career to the next level, Penske Logistics is the place to be.
