Known for its commitment to excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction, Penske is a trusted partner for many market-leading companies. The company's dedication to investing in state-of-the-art equipment and technology ensures that its drivers operate in a safe and comfortable environment. Penske Logistics is part of the larger Penske organization, which is recognized nationwide for its professional approach to logistics and transportation services.

Penske Logistics is currently offering immediate full-time local Class A CDL truck driver opportunities based in Joliet, Illinois. These positions provide an excellent opportunity for dedicated drivers looking for stable employment with a highly respected company. The role comes with a competitive salary, with an average annual income of $106,000, reflective of the demanding but rewarding nature of the position. Drivers will benefit from a dedicated route that allows daily home time and weekends off, making this an ideal job for those seeking work-life balance.

The role involves performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. Drivers will utilize manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages to unload trailers, and use scanners to accurately track each delivery. The route typically includes about 55 stops per week, with an 8 pm dispatch time and a 5-day schedule, averaging 60 hours per week. Penske provides late model, Penske-maintained trucks that feature best-in-class specifications designed for comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance security.

Working as a Class A CDL Truck Driver for Penske Logistics means joining a team of professionals committed to delivering products safely and on time while providing extraordinary customer service. Drivers represent both Penske and their clients, often driving branded trucks and wearing uniforms that uphold the professional image of the brands they serve. Penske supports career growth through extensive training opportunities and offers geographic mobility via multiple locations nationwide, making it a great company for long-term career development in the trucking industry.

In addition to competitive pay and a supportive work environment, Penske offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to keep associates and their families healthy, happy, and secure. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays from day one, generous retirement benefits, and excellent health care coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans. The package also includes short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, an employee discount program, driver referral bonuses up to $5,000, and safety incentive programs. Penske's commitment to safety and employee recognition is also demonstrated through programs like the Premier Driver Recognition Program.

This position requires a valid Class A CDL, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card, and recent tractor-trailer driving experience. Penske holds its drivers to high safety and performance standards, requiring a clean driving record, compliance with federal regulations, and the ability to work alertly in a safety-sensitive role. Physical capability is essential, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds, as well as good vision and hearing to perform job duties effectively. Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
