This job opportunity is for full-time local Class A CDL truck drivers based in Rochester, NY. As a local driver, you will be home daily, driving late-model trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing, equipped with advanced safety features like inward and outward facing in-cab cameras. This role offers a competitive average annual salary of $104,000 along with a $5,000 referral bonus. The position involves operating a flatbed truck to deliver a wide range of freight with an average of 45 stops per week, requiring professionalism and customer-focused service at every delivery. This schedule varies weekly and typically accounts for 45 to 60 hours of work.

Job Requirements

  • Follow all federal and state laws and regulations
  • Work the required schedule
  • Complete employment application
  • Submit to background investigation including past employment and criminal history
  • Pass drug screening
  • Ability to safely operate motor vehicle and enter/exit vehicle and cargo area frequently
  • Meet physical requirements including vision and ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Be compliant with 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2)
  • Regular attendance
  • English language proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Licensed and domiciled in the U.S.
  • Hold or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years, or 2 years in last 5 years
  • Clean DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in last 3 years
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety
  • Regular, predictable attendance

Job Duties
