This immediate opening is for full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers located in Peoria, Arizona. The role offers competitive pay at $27.32 per hour with paid overtime after 40 hours, a consistent local schedule with daily home time, and a dispatch window between 2 PM and 6 PM. Drivers enjoy two consecutive days off plus three consecutive nights off from Wednesday night through Friday night, making for a balanced work-life schedule. You will operate late-model Penske Truck Leasing vehicles that feature best-in-class specifications for driver comfort, including inward and outward facing in-cab cameras to enhance safety. As a Penske CDL Class A Truck Driver, you will primarily handle dedicated local deliveries within Arizona, dealing with no-touch freight that is live loaded and unloaded. Drivers are expected to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers, representing both Penske and its clients. This role is regulated by the Department of Transportation and requires adherence to all federal and state laws, regulations, and company policies. The ability to work safely, responsibly, and in a state of constant alertness is essential.

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • At least 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance
  • English language proficiency
  • Work required schedule and location
  • Complete Penske employment application
  • Submit to background investigation and drug screening
  • Ability to work safely and remain alert
  • Ability to accept responsibility for personal and others' safety
  • Ability to see and hear
  • Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally
