Penske is currently offering immediate full-time opportunities for local Class A CDL truck drivers. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $28.25 per hour with a flexible Floater schedule that varies based on coverage needs. Drivers benefit from being home daily, enhancing work-life balance while engaging in shuttling auto parts with an average of 24 stops per week. The trucks used are late model Penske leases equipped with best-in-class comfort features and safety technology, including inward and outward facing in-cab cameras designed to ensure driver and cargo safety.

The role requires a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, highlighting Penske's dedication to quality service and client satisfaction. The schedule typically runs Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, and shifts may be either AM or PM based on monthly dispatch shift bids. Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
  • non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • one year documented tractor-trailer experience in last three years or two years in last five years
  • three years clean DMV/MVR record with minimal violations
  • English language proficiency
  • availability for floater schedule including Mondays to Fridays and occasional Saturdays
  • ability to pass company background and drug screening
  • physical capability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally
  • ability to operate motor vehicle safely and enter/exit vehicle and cargo area frequently
  • adherence to DOT and company safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • current or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • minimum one year documented tractor-trailer experience in last three years or two years in last five years
  • three years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • proficiency in English language
  • ability to maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
  • compliance with all relevant federal and state laws and company policies
  • pass background investigation and drug screening
  • ability to work safely and remain alert
  • physical ability to operate commercial motor vehicle and perform frequent entry and exit

Job Duties
