Currently, Penske Logistics is seeking full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers to join their team in Weatherford, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced truck drivers who want to be home daily while driving late model Penske trucks with best-in-class comfort features and advanced safety equipment. Drivers will be responsible for dedicated routes, primarily focusing on shuttling auto parts with drop and hook operations, averaging 5 to 6 stops per week. This is a no-touch freight position, ensuring that the work is centered around safe vehicle operation rather than manual freight handling. The schedule is a stable 5-day workweek (Monday through Saturday), with dispatch times that may vary but generally allow drivers to be at home daily.
The hourly wage for this role is competitive, starting at $25.25 per hour, and applicants can take advantage of a $5,000 retention bonus. Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- U.S. domicile and state license
- non-excepted interstate DOT medical card or ability to obtain one
- 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
- clean 3-year DMV/MVR record
- compliance with federal and state laws
- regular full attendance
- English language proficiency
- willingness to submit background check and drug screening
- ability to work safely and remain alert
- physical capability to perform job duties including lifting up to 100 lbs
- legal ability to operate vehicle and enter/exit cargo areas
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
- current or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
- clean 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- knowledge of federal and state transportation laws
- strong safety record
- ability to work full schedule
- English proficiency
