The role of a Class A CDL Truck Driver at Penske Logistics is an excellent opportunity for those who want to advance their driving careers while enjoying the benefits of a stable and reputable company. This is a full-time, local driving position with a competitive hourly rate of $29 and the benefit of being home daily. Drivers will operate late-model Penske trucks designed with the latest comfort features and equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. The primary responsibility is shuttling auto parts with an average of 24 stops weekly, requiring professionalism and courteous interaction with customers. As a floater position, the schedule may vary but generally includes Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, offering flexibility based on monthly shift bids and dispatches scheduled for either AM or PM.

In addition to a well-rounded compensation package, this role offers a retention bonus of $5,000 and a referral bonus program up to $5,000 per referral. Job Requirements

  • complete Penske employment application
  • submit to background investigation including past employment, education, and criminal history
  • pass drug screening
  • maintain constant alertness and safe driving practices
  • accept responsibility for personal and others safety
  • physically able to see and hear
  • capable of close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • able to regularly lift and move up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs
  • legally operate a motor vehicle
  • safely enter and exit vehicle and cargo areas

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • domiciled and licensed in the U.S.
  • current or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
  • English language proficiency
  • ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
