The company is recognized for its commitment to safety, innovative equipment, excellent management, and superior customer service, making it a top choice for truck drivers and logistics professionals seeking long-term career growth and stability.
The company is currently offering immediate full-time employment opportunities for Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. These positions provide an average annual salary of $103,753, reflecting Penske's dedication to rewarding experienced and professional drivers. In addition to competitive pay, Penske offers a $10,000 retention bonus to incentivize and welcome new team members, ensuring a strong commitment from its workforce.
As a Class A CDL Truck Driver at Penske Logistics, you will be assigned dedicated routes that allow you to be home daily, supporting work-life balance and family time. The role involves performing multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts and supplies primarily to car dealerships. Drivers can expect to manage an average of 15 stops and 10 transfers per week, unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages. Each delivery must be accurately scanned with the onboard scanner to maintain product integrity and traceability.
The work schedule is a 5-day week, Monday through Friday, with dispatch times typically ranging from 9:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Drivers will average about 58 to 59 hours per week. The trucks assigned to this position are late-model, Penske-maintained vehicles built with best-in-class specifications that emphasize comfort and safety. These trucks come equipped with both inward- and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance safety measures for the driver and those on the road.
Beyond the daily responsibilities, the role offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support drivers and their families. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays starting on day one, generous retirement plans, and excellent healthcare coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional protections such as short and long-term disability, life insurance, and AD&D coverage offer peace of mind. Penske also provides company uniforms and safety footwear, an employee discount program, and lucrative driver referral bonuses of up to $5,000 per referral. Drivers are further supported through safety incentive programs and a Premier Driver Recognition Program that celebrates stellar work and commitment.
Choosing to drive for Penske means joining a nationwide, stable company known for its top-quality equipment, transparent communication, excellent management, and strong safety culture. The company's philosophy values customer service and relationship building, positioning drivers as both company representatives and partners to clients. Penske also offers robust training and career advancement opportunities, with many locations nationwide for potential relocation and personal growth.
In summary, this career opportunity provides skilled CDL Class A drivers with a well-compensated, home-daily position that offers stability, modern equipment, extensive benefits, and a supportive environment. Penske Logistics is dedicated to the safety and satisfaction of its drivers and aims to elevate their careers with a company that values professionalism and dependable service.
