This role opens an exciting opportunity as a Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) with Penske Truck Leasing. The position involves the transportation of vehicles primarily box trucks up to 26 feet, and for CDL Class A licensed drivers, includes moving tractors and trailers. Responsibilities include delivering vehicles to Penske locations and customers, ensuring mechanical and safety standards are met, and occasionally assisting the service department with parts and equipment delivery. This is a casual, on-call, part-time position ideal for licensed CDL Class A or Class B drivers seeking supplemental income with flexible working hours typically ranging from 0 to 25 hours per week based on operational needs. The schedule is mostly during the second shift, between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM from Wednesday through Saturday.

Job Requirements
- two years of driving experience
- two years of a clean dmv motor vehicle record
- valid class b cdl
- applicants must be domiciled in the u.s. and licensed in their state of residence
- cdl class a license preferred
- ability to read and follow written instructions

Job Duties
- follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination of penske location or customer locations
- check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found
- obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required
- report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
- perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
