Established as a trusted name in the logistics industry, Penske emphasizes a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction, backed by its fleet of top-tier equipment and a dedicated team of experienced professionals. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment where employees have access to ongoing training and career advancement opportunities, making it an excellent choice for individuals seeking a stable and rewarding career in transportation and logistics.
The immediate opening at Penske Logistics is for full-time Class A Doubles CDL Truck Drivers. This role offers a competitive average annual salary of $120,000 along with a $5,000 retention bonus, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced truck drivers. The position involves regional travel with the necessity to work at various locations as assigned, potentially requiring travel up to 100 percent. Drivers will operate late-model, Penske-maintained trucks equipped with best-in-class specifications designed for comfort and safety, including inward and outward facing in-cab cameras to promote secure operations.
This truck driving role is centered around delivering automotive parts and supplies through multi-stop deliveries to dealerships, requiring adept handling of products using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages. Drivers will also utilize scanning equipment to accurately track unloading and delivery processes. Given the dynamic nature of the job, dispatch times will vary and drivers should expect assignments that may keep them away from home for two to three weeks at a time. During these assignments, drivers will be stationed at the assigned location for the duration of their work.
Penske places a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism, reflected in its stringent hiring requirements, including the maintenance of a clean driving record and compliance with Department of Transportation regimens. The company’s comprehensive benefits package supports employee well-being with paid vacation and holidays from day one, generous retirement plans, excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance. Employees also benefit from company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, an employee discount program, referral bonuses, safety incentives, and recognition programs. This role offers a chance to join a nationwide company with a solid reputation, excellent management, clear communication channels, and a fast-paced yet supportive workplace culture. Drivers receive weekly pay, further enhancing the financial stability of this career path.
