Working primarily night shifts with dispatches beginning at 4 PM and weekends off, the driver will engage in delivering products via tractor-trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight drive and drop routes. The role offers competitive first-year pay ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, with additional compensation provided for every stop, cube, or mile after training.

This position is not just about driving; it carries the responsibility of being a key face-to-face representative of Core-Mark. Drivers build and sustain lasting relationships with customers by providing professional, courteous service and accurately handling all aspects of delivery from product inspection to securing signatures. They perform thorough safety checks, adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and maintain the integrity and safety of the freight throughout the delivery process.

Drivers are also tasked with various operational duties such as moving and attaching trailers, unloading products, damage control checks, and ensuring the secure handling of both deliveries and returns. Driving safely and efficiently, communicating effectively with customers and team members, and performing all paperwork accurately are central to this role. Core-Mark fosters a safe and inclusive work environment supported by a culture of recognition, rewards, and respect, prioritizing employee wellness and growth opportunities.

In summary, the Food and Food Service Delivery Driver plays a crucial part in ensuring that Core-Mark continues its legacy of delivering high-quality products promptly and reliably.
