Job Description
Penske Logistics is a leading global provider of transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions, committed to delivering exceptional business results for market-leading companies across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Renowned for its state-of-the-art logistics services, Penske combines superior technology with a dedicated workforce to increase visibility and reduce supply-chain costs efficiently. This innovative company values safety, professionalism, and operational excellence, making it a preferred employer within the logistics and transportation industry. With its headquarters located in Denver, Colorado, Penske Logistics continues to grow and offer exciting career opportunities for qualified candidates.\n\nThe position offered is for a full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Driver. This role provides an outstanding opportunity for experienced drivers to join a stable, nationwide company known for its high standards of safety, excellent management, and top-tier equipment. Employed in a local driving capacity, the successful candidate will benefit from a schedule that ensures daily home time and an average workweek of 40 hours, dispelling the long-haul stereotype associated with many trucking jobs. The position offers an average annual salary of $81,863, reflecting the value Penske places on the expertise and dedication of its drivers.\n\nAs a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver at Penske, your responsibilities will be centered around multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts and supplies to various dealerships. The role demands the use of manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages for unloading trailers safely and efficiently. Additionally, drivers utilize scanners to ensure accuracy during product delivery and maintain records updated with approximately 12 stops per week. You will operate late-model trucks that are well-maintained by Penske, featuring best-in-class specifications designed with comfort and safety in mind. These trucks are also equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance overall safety for both the driver and the public.\n\nPenske Logistics not only provides excellent equipment but backs its drivers with a comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation and holidays from day one, generous retirement plans, and outstanding medical, dental, and vision coverage. The benefits also extend to include short- and long-term disability insurance, life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, as well as employee discount programs and referral bonuses up to $5000. The company invests in recognizing its drivers through safety incentive programs and premier driver recognition initiatives designed to reward commitment and excellence.
