We are currently seeking dedicated and professional Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers to join our team at Penske Logistics in Stockton, California. This position offers an hourly wage of $29.71 and features a schedule that includes two consecutive days off, with a typical 5-day workweek based on route assignments. Drivers benefit from a local route that allows them to be home daily, enhancing work-life balance and overall job satisfaction. You will operate late-model Penske Truck Leasing vehicles equipped with best-in-class specifications designed for maximum driver comfort, including features like inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras that promote safety for all on the road.
As a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver, your primary responsibilities will revolve around delivering groceries to stores within the local vicinity. On average, you will make about five stops per day, handling deliveries with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining positive relationships with customers. Your workday will typically begin between 1 pm and 3 pm, with weekends and holidays being part of the work schedule depending on assignments. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements
- Minimum one year of tractor-trailer experience
- DOT medical card current or obtainable
- Clean driving record over the last three years
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required
- Comply with Department of Transportation regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Good vision and hearing capabilities
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
- Pass background checks and drug screenings
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Hold or be able to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- One year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last three years or two years in the last five years
- Three years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Ability to comply with all federal, state laws, regulations, and agency guidelines
- Regular and predictable attendance
- English language proficiency
- Ability to complete background investigation and drug screening
Job Duties
- Drive late-model Penske trucks equipped with safety cameras
- Deliver groceries to local stores with an average of five stops per day
- Maintain professional and courteous interaction with customers
