As a key player in the logistics industry, Penske operates across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, helping businesses increase visibility and reduce supply chain costs effectively. Known for professionalism, innovation, and dedication to safety and customer service, Penske provides a stable and rewarding work environment for its employees. Penske Logistics values its associates by offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and extensive training opportunities, ensuring personal and professional growth within the organization.
This opportunity is for Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers based in Peoria, Arizona, employed by Penske Logistics LLC. Drivers can expect to earn a competitive wage of $27.32 per hour, with overtime pay after 40 hours per week. This position offers a schedule from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM dispatch depending on the route and requires working 40 to 55 hours weekly. Drivers enjoy the benefit of returning home daily, except for New Mexico layover nights, providing excellent work-life balance.
The role involves driving late-model Penske Truck Leasing vehicles equipped with best-in-class specifications designed for both comfort and safety. These trucks feature inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance safety for drivers and the public. The position requires handling low-touch freight, primarily operating a manual pallet jack, which minimizes physical strain and maximizes efficiency. Drivers are expected to follow all federal, state, and company regulations, maintain a high safety standard, and provide exceptional customer service while representing Penske and its clients.
Penske Logistics supports its drivers with a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid vacations and holidays from day one, generous retirement benefits, and excellent health care coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional benefits include short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, company-provided uniforms, an employee discount program, and a driver referral bonus program rewarding up to $5,000 per referral. Safety is highly prioritized through incentive programs and a Premier Driver Recognition program, promoting a culture of excellence and achievement.
Penske is committed to equal employment opportunities and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Physical requirements for this job include the ability to see and hear, move frequently, stand, walk, and sit, as well as lift weights of up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Drivers must also be able to legally operate a motor vehicle safely and perform vehicle entry and exit procedures.
Overall, working as a Class A CDL Truck Driver for Penske Logistics offers a unique career path with stability, advanced equipment, supportive management, regular pay every Friday, and opportunities for growth and relocation across the company’s nationwide operations. Join Penske and fuel your career by driving with a reputable industry leader dedicated to professional development and employee well-being.
