Job Description
Penske Logistics is a global leader in transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions. With a strong presence in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske Logistics provides innovative services that help businesses optimize their supply chains and reduce costs. This company is known for its commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction, making it a top choice for professionals looking to advance their careers in the logistics and transportation sector. Penske Logistics employs a diverse workforce dedicated to excellence and teamwork, ensuring that every delivery and logistical operation meets the highest standards.
This job opportunity is for full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers, offering an average annual salary of $120,000. The position requires drivers to travel extensively, up to 100 percent of the time, working regionally at various locations as assigned. Drivers will perform multi-stop deliveries primarily of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. The role includes unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, as well as using scanners to track deliveries and inventory. The work schedule is variable and depends on job assignments. Drivers can expect to be away from home for two to three weeks per assignment, and will travel to the assigned location where they will work for the duration of the assignment.
Drivers will be operating late model, Penske-maintained trucks, which are equipped with best-in-class specifications designed for comfort and safety. These trucks also feature inward and outward-facing cameras to enhance driver safety. Penske Logistics offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation and holidays from day one, generous retirement benefits, and excellent health care coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision plans. Additional benefits include short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, employee discount programs, driver referral bonuses of up to $5000 per referral, safety incentive programs, and a premier driver recognition program.
Drivers joining Penske Logistics become part of a nationwide team known for its outstanding equipment, supportive management, clear communication, and excellent safety record. The company promotes career growth with multiple training opportunities and the possibility to relocate to different cities. Penske Logistics also emphasizes the importance of safety, professionalism, and customer service. Drivers not only represent Penske but also their clients, often wearing client-branded uniforms and driving branded trucks, which helps build strong relationships with accounts. Penske pays its drivers every Friday and most driving positions allow drivers to be home daily depending on assignments. This role is regulated by the Department of Transportation and demands a high level of alertness and responsibility for both the driver's own safety and the safety of others. This position is well-suited for individuals seeking a stable, rewarding career with a reputable company that deeply values its employees.
