Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Valid CDL-A license and minimum age of 21
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Ability to pass post offer drug test and road test
  • Current DOT health card or ability to secure one
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move product cases ranging from 10 to 90 pounds during shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 0-6 months commercial tractor trailer experience
  • Valid CDL-A license and over 21 years of age
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Ability to pass post offer drug and road tests
  • Current or valid DOT health card or ability to obtain one
  • Capable of hand-lifting and using equipment to move freight

Job Duties

  • Drive tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes for delivery of food products
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • Perform pre and post trip safety checks and inspections according to DOT regulations
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
  • Inspect freight for proper load and securement
  • Complete accurate paperwork related to freight delivery
  • Unload products and deliver to designated customer storage areas
  • Verify delivery with customers and obtain signatures
  • Collect payments when required
  • Load customer returns and secure trailer doors
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
  • Complete hours of service logs as required
  • Report safety hazards and required repairs promptly
  • Operate trailer docking and detaching procedures as needed
  • Perform damage control checks and communicate issues with supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned
