Job Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • minimum age 21
  • high school diploma or GED
  • 0-6 months commercial driving experience
  • clean Motor Vehicle Report for last 3 years
  • pass post-offer drug and road test
  • possess or obtain DOT health card
  • ability to hand-lift 10-90 pounds and use loading equipment
  • meet all state licensing and certification requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0-6 months commercial tractor trailer driving experience
  • valid CDL-A license
  • at least 21 years of age
  • meet all state licensing and certification requirements
  • clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • pass post-offer drug test and road test
  • valid DOT health card or ability to obtain one
  • ability to hand-lift and operate loading equipment

Job Duties

  • Drive tractor trailer or straight truck on local, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop routes
  • communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • perform pre- and post-trip safety inspections
  • follow DOT regulations and company safety policies
  • inspect trailer and freight for proper loading and security
  • perform freight counts and verify customer invoices
  • complete required paperwork accurately
  • move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailers
  • deliver orders according to schedule
  • unload products and transport to customer storage areas
  • perform damage control and report issues
  • obtain customer signatures upon delivery
  • collect payments when necessary
  • load and secure customer returns
  • secure tractor, trailer, and freight
  • unload damaged goods and handle related paperwork
  • perform equipment unloading and cleanup
  • maintain daily hours of service logs
  • perform general housekeeping and secure equipment at shift end
  • perform other related duties as assigned
