With over $23 billion in revenue, the company continues to grow by delivering fresh and broad-line product solutions to convenience stores, gas stations, and other retail outlets across the U.S. and Canada. Core-Mark stands out by empowering its customers, employees, and communities through innovative programs, comprehensive product offerings, and outstanding service. Through a vast network of distribution centers, the company supports a diverse customer base by providing essential products and tailored solutions to meet their business needs. Core-Mark boasts a reputation for cultivating a safe and inclusive work environment that promotes respect, reward, recognition, and professional growth opportunities.
The Driver - SCM position at Core-Mark plays a critical role in supporting America’s food distribution system by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of food and food-related products. This role involves operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes, including intrastate, interstate, local, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop routes. A key aspect of the job is driving with strict adherence to the Department of Transportation regulations and Core-Mark's internal safety standards to maintain compliance and protect the integrity of the freight. Drivers are responsible not only for the transportation of goods but also for performing safety inspections, securing freight loads, documenting deliveries, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
This position offers competitive pay starting at a minimum of $1250 weekly, with potential earnings exceeding $65,000 annually. Drivers enjoy home nightly schedules, local routes, and weekends off, with shifts from Monday to Friday and early morning dispatch times. Beyond compensation, Core-Mark provides a range of benefits starting on day one, including health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off.
As part of Core-Mark’s inclusive culture, the Driver - SCM will engage professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, representing the company with integrity and professionalism. The role demands physical stamina for lifting and handling freight along with the ability to pass a series of qualification steps such as DOT health requirements, drug screenings, clean driving records, and road tests. The company values teamwork and expects drivers to contribute to a clean work environment and support other duties as needed to optimize operations. Drivers will also manage critical administrative requirements including accurate paperwork and logging hours of service to comply with federal and company policies. Overall, this position offers a stable, rewarding career path for individuals dedicated to safe, reliable transportation and who thrive in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
