This role is a critical position within Core-Mark, offering an opportunity for drivers to contribute vital support to America's food distribution system. As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating tractor trailers or straight trucks for intrastate, interstate, local, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop routes. The position is primarily Monday through Friday with no weekend shifts, focusing on safe and timely delivery of food and food-related products to customers. Drivers can earn a competitive minimum biweekly pay of $3,153, with the potential to exceed $82,000 annually, dependent on meeting weekly requirements and working hours. The role requires strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company standards. Drivers must conduct thorough pre- and post-trip safety inspections, ensure freight is properly loaded and secured, maintain accurate paperwork and delivery records, and provide professional communication with customers, vendors, and colleagues. The Driver acts as a team member within the department and is expected to uphold safety and operational excellence in all activities. Additionally, the position demands physical capability to handle freight, including lifting and operating equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to manage product cases of varying weights and sizes.
