Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 12+ months tractor/trailer driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 12+ months tractor/trailer driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Must meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Must attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to move and stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight

Job Duties

  • Performs all required safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Reports all safety issues and repairs required, follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
  • Immediately reports all safety hazards, inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of loaded products
  • Checks and completes all required paperwork associated with freight in an accurate and legible manner
  • Moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unloads products from trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
  • Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders
  • Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures
  • collects money where required
  • Loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
  • Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • Unloads damaged goods and customer returns, completes necessary paperwork
  • Performs daily record of hours of service and enters logs per Federal DOT and company requirements
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area, secures equipment and completes paperwork at end of shift
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
