Job Description
Penske Logistics is a global leader in transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions, serving a diverse range of market-leading companies with operations across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Known for its commitment to innovation and efficiency, Penske Logistics engineers state-of-the-art supply chain solutions to help businesses increase visibility and reduce costs effectively. The company prides itself on a culture of safety, operational excellence, and providing its employees with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career advancement. Penske Logistics LLC is hiring for full-time Local Class B Delivery Truck Drivers based in Little Rock, Arkansas, offering competitive pay and a dedicated schedule.
The role of a Class B Delivery Truck Driver at Penske is a critical position responsible for executing local multi-stop delivery routes focused primarily on parts and supplies distribution to automotive dealerships. Drivers will operate late model Penske trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing, which feature best-in-class specifications designed with safety and comfort in mind. These trucks are equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras that enhance driver and public safety. The route is dedicated, allowing drivers to maintain a consistent schedule while being home daily.
In this position, drivers will be expected to perform precise and efficient multi-stop deliveries, unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages. Strong attention to detail is required as drivers use scanners to scan products upon delivery and unloading to ensure accurate inventory and billing records. The typical route consists of three stops and one transfer, dispatched at 3:00 AM from Tuesday through Saturday, providing a stable and predictable work pattern. This role's nature demands physical activity, including lifting and moving packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds, along with frequent entering and exiting of the vehicle’s cargo area.
Penske offers a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including paid vacation and holidays, a generous retirement benefit plan, and excellent health care coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional benefits include short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, an employee discount program, driver referral bonuses of up to $5,000 per referral, a safety incentive program, and a Premier Driver Recognition Program designed to reward outstanding performance. This robust benefits plan demonstrates Penske’s commitment to employee well-being and job satisfaction.
This opportunity is ideal for professional drivers seeking a stable position with a reputable nationwide company known for excellent management, clear communication, and a remarkable safety record. Drivers will have access to extensive training opportunities and potential geographic mobility within the company's wide-reaching locations. Penske values its drivers not only as employees but as ambassadors of the company and its clients, offering a fulfilling career path with job security and upward mobility.
