As a part of Penske Logistics, associates benefit from a company culture dedicated to career development, employee well-being, and industry-leading technology. Penske provides state-of-the-art equipment, comprehensive training, and outstanding support to its professional workforce. Their emphasis on safety and quality service has made them a trusted logistics partner globally.
The Full-time Local Class B Delivery Truck Driver position based in Tuscaloosa, AL, offers an exciting opportunity for disciplined, safety-conscious individuals to join the Penske team. This role features an average annual salary of $74,381 and a predictable Monday-to-Friday schedule, with drivers typically home daily, making it a great option for those seeking work-life balance. Drivers operate late-model Penske Truck Leasing vehicles equipped with best-in-class specifications that prioritize driver comfort and safety. These trucks also feature inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to further enhance security.
In this role, drivers will perform multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts and supplies to dealership locations, handling approximately seven deliveries and one transfer per dedicated route. The delivery process includes unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, and scanning products upon delivery for accurate tracking. The position is scheduled on the third shift dispatch, maintaining consistency and predictability for employees.
Penske Logistics ensures drivers receive a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including paid vacation and holidays, a generous retirement plan, and excellent healthcare coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision plans. Coverage also extends to short and long-term disability, life insurance, and AD&D insurance. Employees receive company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, access to an employee discount program, and the opportunity to participate in referral bonuses that can reach up to $5,000. Safety and recognition programs are also in place to reward and encourage exemplary performance. These advantages reflect Penske’s commitment to supporting employees’ professional growth, health, and overall job satisfaction.
Penske places a high priority on driver professionalism and customer service, acknowledging that drivers often represent both Penske and its clients while on the road. It’s more than just driving; it’s about building relationships and delivering top-notch service. The company also offers extensive training opportunities and nationwide coverage, providing employees with career mobility and excellent management support. Drivers are compensated weekly, further facilitating financial stability. If you are looking to advance your truck-driving career within a stable and respected national company, the Class B Delivery Truck Driver role at Penske could be the ideal fit.
