As a Local Class B CDL Truck Driver for Penske Logistics, you will play a critical role in supporting automotive dealerships by performing multi-stop deliveries and handling freight with manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages. Drivers use scanners for product tracking to ensure efficient and accurate deliveries. With dispatch times starting between 2:15 AM and 2:25 AM, you will drive approximately 45 hours per week, contributing to Penske’s reputation for timely and safe freight delivery. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Must have current or obtain interstate DOT medical card
- Minimum 1 year documented tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
- Clean DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency
- Ability to pass background check and drug testing
- Must work specific schedule and location
- Ability to safely operate vehicle and perform physical demands of the role
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency required
- Ability to work the required schedule and location
- Completion of Penske employment application, background check, and drug screening
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely
Job Duties
- Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
- Unload using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
- Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
- Drive dedicated local routes and maintain timely deliveries
