Job Description

Penske Logistics is a global leader in transportation and supply chain management, offering cutting-edge solutions in freight management, warehousing, and distribution services. With a strong presence across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske Logistics is dedicated to enhancing visibility, optimizing efficiency, and reducing costs for its diverse range of clients. The company is renowned for its commitment to safety, technology-driven processes, and exceptional customer service, making it a trusted partner for some of the world’s leading brands.

This job opportunity is for a Full-time Local Class B Delivery Truck Driver based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. With an average annual salary of $73,486, this role comes with a $5,000 retention bonus and additional safety and scanning incentives that can amount up to $6,200. The position offers a work schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, with daily routes that ensure you are home most nights. Drivers are assigned dedicated routes and operate late model trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing, which feature best-in-class specifications designed to maximize driver comfort and safety. These trucks are equipped with both inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance safety for drivers and others on the road.

The role primarily involves multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts and supplies to dealerships. Drivers will use manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages to unload their trailers and scan products as they are delivered, managing up to 12 stops plus 1 transfer per route. This job is ideal for professional drivers who value a stable, nationwide company that emphasizes safety, excellent management, and clear communication. Penske prides itself on fostering a supportive work environment with comprehensive training programs, allowing drivers to grow their careers and, if desired, relocate to different cities across the country.

Penske Logistics offers a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including paid vacation and holidays, a generous retirement plan, excellent medical, dental and vision coverage, life, AD&D insurance, and short and long-term disability. Additionally, company-provided uniforms and safety footwear are supplied, along with an employee discount program and incentives such as a driver referral bonus worth up to $5,000 per referral. Safety incentives and a Premier Driver Recognition Program further reward safe practices and consistent performance.

At Penske, delivering outstanding customer service while building strong relationships with clients and their branded trucks is a key component of the role. Drivers are more than operators; they represent both Penske and its valued customers, ensuring every delivery is timely and professional.

If you are ready to advance your driving career with a reputable employer that pays weekly and offers the opportunity to be home daily, Penske Logistics is ready to welcome you to their team. Join a company that is not only known for its top-tier equipment and safety record but also values its employees by providing stability, growth opportunities, and a rewarding work experience.
