Penske Logistics is a premier transportation and logistics company known for providing state-of-the-art transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions across North America and globally. With a strong reputation for innovative supply-chain management and a commitment to operational excellence, Penske Logistics partners with some of the world's leading brands to deliver goods safely, efficiently, and on time. The company emphasizes visibility, safety, and cost optimization, helping businesses move forward effectively. With operations spanning the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske offers a diverse and dynamic work environment for its associates. The company prioritizes employee well-being through a comprehensive benefits package and focuses on continuous training and career growth, fostering a culture of success and safety.
This is an immediate opening for Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers at Penske Logistics headquartered in Atlanta, GA. The position offers an average annual salary of $68,000 with an hourly pay structure. A notable benefit of this role is that drivers are home daily, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Drivers will primarily support backhaul operations during morning hours within the metro Atlanta area, running standard dock-to-dock and yard-to-yard routes exclusively inside the metropolitan region. The schedule follows a Monday through Friday routine with morning dispatches between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, providing drivers with predictable working hours and routine.
Drivers will operate late-model Penske maintained trucks featuring best-in-class specifications designed for maximum comfort and safety. Trucks include inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance safety measures for all involved. Penske offers a generous referral bonus program, providing up to $5,000 per referral, along with a robust safety incentive and Premier Driver Recognition Program, ensuring that professional efforts are consistently rewarded.
The comprehensive benefits package starts from day one and includes paid vacation and holidays, generous retirement benefits, excellent healthcare coverage covering medical, dental, and vision, along with short and long-term disability insurance plus life and AD&D coverage. Uniforms and safety footwear are provided by the company, and employees have access to an exclusive employee discount benefit program.
This role requires compliance with federal and state laws, including possessing a valid Class A CDL, having the appropriate medical certification, and maintaining a clean driving record. Safety is paramount; therefore, drivers must be alert at all times and committed to safe driving practices. Penske supports career growth by offering ongoing training opportunities and supports relocation options for associates who want to expand their career in other regions.
Penske Logistics is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. The company also respects accommodations for individuals with disabilities who meet the essential functions of the job.
In summary, this position is perfect for professional Class A CDL drivers seeking stability, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to be part of a nationwide logistics leader. Penske offers a competitive career path with outstanding equipment, excellent management, and a great safety record. If you are ready to accelerate your truck-driving career trajectory, Penske invites you to join their dedicated team of drivers delivering excellence every day.
