This open position is for full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers in Des Moines, IA, offering an average annual salary of $100,100. The pay structure is hourly with overtime paid after 40 hours, and the route is dedicated, providing consistent work schedules and predictability. This role includes a Monday through Friday schedule with a 9:30 PM dispatch time. Drivers will be operating late-model Penske-maintained trucks equipped with automatic transmissions and advanced safety features including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. These features promote a safe driving environment and ensure the well-being of both drivers and the cargo they transport.

As a Class A CDL Truck Driver at Penske, you will perform multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts and supplies to dealerships, utilizing manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages to unload products efficiently. The job requires scanning products with handheld scanners as they are delivered, ensuring accuracy and accountability throughout the delivery process. Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • domicile in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
  • current or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
  • 3 years of DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • English language proficiency
  • compliance with federal and company safety regulations
  • ability to accept responsibility for personal and others’ safety

Job Duties
