We are currently offering immediate full-time opportunities for Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role offers an attractive average annual salary of $75,000 and operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, ensuring a work-life balance with daily home time. Drivers will embark on dedicated routes, delivering multi-stop shipments of parts and supplies primarily to automotive dealerships. The position involves operating late-model trucks that are professionally maintained by Penske and equipped with advanced safety features, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. Drivers use manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages for unloading, and scanning technology to accurately track deliveries.

The work schedule is predictable with an 8 PM dispatch time, ensuring routine and reliability in daily tasks. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Class A CDL license
  • 1 year documented tractor-trailer experience or 2 years within 5 years
  • valid DOT medical card
  • clean driving record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in 3 years
  • ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
  • English language proficiency
  • ability to work Monday through Friday schedule
  • ability to pass background check and drug test
  • physical ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally
  • ability to enter and exit vehicle cargo area safely

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
  • non-excepted interstate DOT medical card or ability to obtain
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • ability to follow federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • English language proficiency
  • ability to work the required schedule and location
  • ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
  • ability to work in a safe manner and maintain alertness

Job Duties

  • Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
  • unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
  • use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
  • operate late-model Penske maintained trucks
  • maintain safety and compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • complete required documentation accurately
  • participate in safety incentive and recognition programs
