Job Description
Penske Logistics is a leading global transportation and logistics company specializing in innovative warehousing, freight management, and transportation solutions. Operating across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske is committed to driving efficiency and delivering powerful business results for its clients by enhancing visibility and reducing supply chain costs. As a prominent and well-established name in the logistics industry, Penske is known for its state-of-the-art equipment, strong management, clear communication, and an impressive safety record. The company boasts a strong focus on customer service excellence and fostering a supportive work environment, making it an attractive employer for those seeking long-term careers in logistics and transportation.
Penske Logistics is currently offering immediate full-time opportunities for Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based out of Depew, NY. This role is essential to the delivery of critical medical supplies to facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and surgical centers, ensuring they are well stocked to provide essential patient care. The compensation for this position is competitive, offering $31.84 per hour with overtime pay available after 40 hours of work. Importantly, Penske values work-life balance by enabling drivers to be home daily, a significant advantage over long-haul trucking jobs that often require extended periods away from family and home.
As a Penske truck driver, you will operate late-model trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing, equipped with best-in-class specifications designed for maximum comfort during your routes. These trucks also feature inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance safety for drivers, freight, and the public. This role requires a professional demeanor at all times, especially when interacting with customers, maintaining Penske's reputation for outstanding service and reliability.
The daily duties involve delivering medical supplies critical to healthcare providers, unloading trailers using pallet jacks, carts, and lift gates, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery while upholding safety protocols. The position requires flexibility to accommodate the varied schedules of healthcare facilities within your delivery communities.
Penske provides a comprehensive benefits package that begins from day one of employment. Employees enjoy paid vacation and holidays, generous retirement benefits, and excellent health care coverage, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional protections such as short and long-term disability, life, and AD&D insurance are also offered. Employees receive company-provided uniforms, participate in an employee discount program, and can benefit from a lucrative driver referral bonus program of up to $5000 per referral. Safety incentive programs and the Premier Driver Recognition Program further reward consistent performance and dedication.
Why choose Penske? Driving for Penske means joining a team of professional drivers committed to delivering products safely and on time for leading brands worldwide. The company offers extensive training opportunities and a stable work environment, with options to relocate within its nationwide operations. Penske’s punctual weekly paychecks and the ability to be home daily set it apart as an ideal employer for drivers looking to build a solid, fulfilling career in trucking. This role represents a unique chance to advance your driving career in a supportive, well-respected company committed to your professional growth and personal well-being.
