Job Description

Penske Logistics is a leader in innovative transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions, serving market-leading companies across the globe. The company has a strong presence in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, helping businesses improve their supply chain visibility and reduce costs. Penske Logistics prides itself on its commitment to safety, customer service, and high-quality operations, making it a preferred choice for professional drivers. With a reputation for offering top-tier equipment, excellent management, and a stable working environment, Penske Logistics continues to set the standard in the logistics industry.

This role is for full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers at Penske Logistics, offering a competitive average annual salary of approximately $95,000. These drivers primarily work local routes with the advantage of being home daily, although occasional layovers may occur. The position includes a dispatch schedule starting at 4:00 PM with a five-day workweek that requires weekend shifts as well. Drivers can expect consecutive days off during the week to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Drivers will be tasked with making 60 to 70 weekly multi-stop deliveries to stores of a major coffee chain, involving high-volume loading and unloading of coffee and milk products from refrigerated trailers. This requires the use of hand dollies and lift gates to handle temperature-controlled loads efficiently and safely. Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers is essential, as is accurately scanning items during unloading and delivery.

The equipment driven comprises late model trucks from Penske Truck Leasing, featuring dual-zone reefer trailers for precise temperature control and best-in-class specifications designed for driver comfort, including automatic transmissions. In-cab safety is a priority, with trucks equipped with both inward and outward-facing cameras to enhance security.

Penske Logistics supports its employees with an extensive benefits package that includes paid vacation and holidays from day one, generous retirement benefits, and comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans. This package also covers short and long-term disability, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, company-provided uniforms, employee discounts, a driver referral bonus program up to $5,000 per referral, a safety incentive program, and the Premier Driver Recognition Program. These benefits are designed to keep associates and their families healthy, secure, and valued.

Joining Penske means becoming part of a respected team of professional truck drivers committed to safe and timely deliveries. Drivers not only represent Penske but also their clients, often driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms, adding a sense of pride and responsibility to their daily work. The company offers numerous training opportunities and the chance to relocate to different cities across the nation, providing career growth and mobility.

With weekly pay every Friday and a home-daily schedule, Penske Logistics offers a stable and rewarding career path for Class A CDL Truck Drivers ready to take their driving careers to the next level. If you are motivated, professional, and committed to excellence, Penske Logistics invites you to apply and join their team of elite drivers.
