This full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Driver position offers an average annual salary of $66,196, with the significant benefit of being home daily due to local routes. The role involves driving late-model Penske Truck Leasing vehicles equipped with top-tier comfort features and state-of-the-art safety technology, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. Drivers will primarily deliver corrugated products to local customers, averaging 18 to 25 stops per week. The job requires a professional demeanor when interacting with clients to ensure outstanding customer service and the successful representation of both Penske and the company’s clients.

The position features a Monday through Friday schedule starting with AM dispatch, underscoring work-life balance and predictable hours. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Class A CDL license
  • current or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • domicile in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
  • successful completion of background check and drug screening
  • compliance with Department of Transportation regulations
  • ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and 100lbs occasionally
  • physical ability to operate a motor vehicle and enter/exit vehicle and cargo area
  • legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • strong safety awareness and responsibility

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • English language proficiency
  • ability to comply with federal and state regulations
  • regular attendance and punctuality
  • ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety
