This full-time position is for a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Drivers will enjoy competitive compensation starting at $32.50 per hour with overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 per week. The role offers a balanced four to five-day workweek with early morning dispatches and the benefit of being home daily. Drivers will operate late model Penske trucks with the latest specifications designed to enhance comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure a secure driving environment.

As a Penske Local Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in delivering medical supplies to hospitals, clinics, and surgical centers, supporting critical patient care. Your typical route will average around 20 stops per week, requiring you to maintain professional interaction with customers while adhering to safety protocols and company policies. Job Requirements

  • Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
  • English language proficiency required per federal law
  • Work the required schedule and location
  • Complete Penske employment application
  • Submit to background check including past employment, education, and criminal history
  • Pass drug screening
  • Ability to work safely and attentively
  • Accept responsibility for safety of self and others
  • Physical ability to see, hear, move, lift up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and enter/exit vehicle and cargo areas safely

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents

Job Duties

  • Deliver medical supplies needed to provide patient care to hospitals, clinics, and surgical centers
  • Average 20 stops per week
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
  • Operate late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks equipped with in-cab cameras
  • Adhere to safety policies and federal and state regulations
  • Complete assigned routes with a four to five-day workweek schedule
  • Perform vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly
