Job Description
Ryder System, Inc. is a leading logistics and transportation company dedicated to delivering innovative supply chain solutions across North America. Established over 85 years ago, Ryder has built a reputation as a reliable partner in fleet management, dedicated transportation, and supply chain optimization. The company serves a variety of industries including retail, manufacturing, automotive, and many others, operating a sizable fleet of vehicles with a focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Ryder prides itself on creating a supportive environment for its employees, offering career development opportunities and a strong company culture that values diversity and inclusion.
Ryder is currently seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver based in Dallas, Texas. This role is designed for professional drivers who are looking for a rewarding career with weekly pay, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work with one of the safest and most reliable fleets in the industry. The position offers competitive weekly earnings starting at approximately $1700 or more, with the potential for additional income through various bonuses and stop pay. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to enjoy an attractive schedule with the possibility of being home at least every other weekend.
The truck driver will primarily deliver solo loads across a multi-state region that includes North Dakota, Texas, and all states to the east, as well as driving into Canada. The equipment assigned includes sleeper tractors equipped with Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and the freight typically involves commercial and residential garage doors requiring touch or hand unloading. Candidates with experience driving dry van or Conestoga trailers are preferred, and drivers will be responsible for the securement of loads using strapping.
This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and professionalism, with drivers playing a key role in maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations. Ryder supports its drivers with paid training, a companion policy allowing a person or pet on the road, and access to a comprehensive benefits package after just 30 days of employment. Drivers will also benefit from consistent pay structures including per-mile rates, stop pay, and quarterly safety and loyalty bonuses. Ryder is committed to transparency and fairness in compensation and values the essential role that drivers play in keeping the economy moving.
Interested applicants must meet specific requirements such as passing drug and background checks, possessing a valid CDL with appropriate endorsements, and demonstrating verifiable recent experience driving tractor trailers. Ryder fosters an inclusive workplace where employees from all backgrounds are welcomed and supported, including military veterans and reservists. With a commitment to safety, employee well-being, and career growth, Ryder offers a stable and rewarding driving career with a company that truly values its drivers.
