This employment opportunity is for the position of Driver, Hourly CDL-A/B, a crucial role responsible for supporting America’s food supply chain by ensuring timely and secure delivery of food and food-related products. These drivers are not only pivotal in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the delivery process but also serve as the frontline representatives of Core-Mark, building and nurturing valuable relationships with customers. The Driver, Hourly CDL-A/B, is responsible for operating tractor trailers or straight trucks on various routes, including intrastate and interstate deliveries, over-the-road, shuttle, and drive-and-drop assignments. The position emphasizes adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies, ensuring that all product deliveries meet quality standards and reach customers in excellent condition. Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Six plus months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license
- Must be 18 plus years of age
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and other equipment to move and stack product cases or freight of varying sizes and weights throughout shift

Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and report any safety issues or repairs needed
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined delivery route schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor for removing orders according to company policy
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money when required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked or secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork at driver check-in
- Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at end of shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
