Job Description
Ryder is a leading logistics and transportation company with a strong reputation for delivering reliable and efficient supply chain solutions across North America. Known for its commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence, Ryder operates a vast fleet of commercial vehicles and offers a wide range of logistics services. The company emphasizes safety, innovation, and employee well-being, ensuring that its workforce is well-trained, motivated, and supported. Ryder has been a trusted name in the trucking and logistics industry for decades, offering career opportunities that combine competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment. In Elkhart, Indiana, Ryder is currently hiring Class A CDL Truck Drivers to join their dedicated team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for truck drivers seeking a full-time, regular employment position with a stable company. Drivers can expect a rewarding career with weekly pay starting at $1628 or more, which improves with mileage and stop pay incentives. Drivers will be responsible for solo regional routes primarily serving the Midwest US and Canada, allowing them to be home weekly with approximately 2-3 layovers per week. Ryder supports its drivers with trucks that are 36 months or newer, equipped with super sleepers, refrigerators, and inverters, and a mixture of curtain-side and dry van trailers. The company provides extensive training on all required equipment ensuring drivers are fully prepared to succeed.
In this position, drivers will play a crucial role in maintaining Ryder's commitment to safety, customer service, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include adhering to all applicable federal and state laws and DOT regulations, driving safely, and delivering freight on time. Drivers will also assist with the unstrapping of products, specifically truck caps and accessories, as part of their freight handling duties. Ryder emphasizes driver autonomy by empowering drivers to make safety decisions and protects their jobs accordingly. Pay incentives include solo mileage pay, solo stop pay, layover pay, and quarterly performance bonuses. Additional benefits include paid training, medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days, 80 hours of paid time off in the first year starting from day one, uniform and equipment allowances, 401(k) plan with company match, paid maternity leave, and discounts on various goods and services.
By joining Ryder, drivers become part of a supportive community that values diversity, including military reservists and veterans. Ryder also offers exciting opportunities for drivers who want to transition to becoming company owners, providing options to purchase trucks and ongoing support. The company is committed to being an equal opportunity employer and maintaining a drug-free workplace. With a clear focus on safety, driver satisfaction, and career growth, this opportunity in Elkhart is ideal for experienced Class A CDL drivers looking for reliable routes, competitive pay, and excellent benefits.
