At Penske, employees benefit from a stable and expansive work environment with locations across the nation, emphasizing growth opportunities, training, and excellent management.
The role available is for a full-time Local Class A Doubles and Hazmat CDL Truck Driver based in Stockton, California. This position offers an average annual salary of approximately $80,496, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitive remuneration for experienced drivers. As a local driver, you will be home daily, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. As a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver, your primary responsibility will be to perform multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts and supplies to dealerships in the local area. Your daily duties will involve operating late-model, Penske-maintained trucks equipped with the latest comfort and safety features, including inward and outward facing in-cab cameras for enhanced security. Using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, you will unload trailers, scan products for accurate inventory tracking, and maintain the highest safety standards throughout the delivery process. The role demands professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple stops.
Penske provides a comprehensive benefits package that supports the well-being of drivers and their families from day one. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays, generous retirement plans, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and short and long-term disability insurance along with life and AD&D coverage. Employees receive company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, access to an employee discount program, and can participate in a driver referral bonus program with incentives up to $5,000 per referral. Safety and driver recognition programs further motivate and reward high standards in driving and customer service.
