The role of Driver at SpartanNash is vital to ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to customer locations. Based at the Byron Center, Michigan location, this position involves operating commercial trucks safely for product delivery, as well as handling backhaul pickups from vendor locations. Drivers are responsible for unloading and loading products, either by hand or through other means, and conducting routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) regulations. Additionally, drivers may be required to operate equipment like yard switchers, fuel equipment, and wash equipment to move trailers within the company complex.
