Dot Foods is a pioneer within the food industry supply chain, and DTI plays a key role in logistics by specializing in the efficient and safe transportation of dry and temperature-controlled goods from suppliers to customers and distribution centers. The company prides itself on creating a supportive work environment for its drivers, promoting work-life balance, and a safety-first mindset. This opportunity is ideal for professional Class A CDL drivers seeking a rewarding career with a dependable employer. The position is based at the terminal located at 3740 E 64th Avenue, Commerce City, Colorado, and the company is hiring immediately. Starting pay can reach up to $95,000 for first-year drivers, with variations depending on experience, job type, and schedule. Several schedule options are available, including traditional schedules (typically dispatched 5.5 days per trip), 6x3 rotations (6 days on, 3 days off), and full-time positions tailored to fit diverse lifestyles. Job types available in this role include Customer Delivery Specialist, No Touch Freight operators, and Team Drivers. The work environment requires driving in all weather conditions, during weekdays, weekends, day, and night shifts.
As a Class A CDL driver at DTI, individuals will operate state-of-the-art trucks and transport products safely and efficiently while adhering strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and other regulatory requirements. This role demands handling material carefully, including loading and unloading for certain freight types, understanding shipment documentation, and actively participating in waste reduction and efficiency improvement measures. Physical activity is a regular aspect of the role except for no-touch freight assignments; lifting weights averaging around 14 pounds, sometimes up to 60 pounds, along with walking, standing, and sitting during work hours, is expected. DTI supports drivers in obtaining necessary endorsements such as Haz-Mat and tanker qualifications during training and even offers help in covering tuition for driving school, making it a great career entry point for new drivers. Moreover, drivers receive thorough training and operate the safest, most modern equipment to prioritize their wellbeing on the road. All these attributes combine to make the Class A CDL driver role not just a job, but a fulfilling career path with significant growth potential under a reputable and socially responsible employer.
