The specific role being recruited for is the Team Member position at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. This position is crucial for delivering the brand's mission of serving nutritious and tasty food and smoothies while embodying a spirit of hospitality and fun. As a Team Member, you will play an important role in interacting with customers and co-workers, preparing and assembling food and smoothies, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting the overall cleanliness and operation of the cafe. The position demands a high level of energy, integrity, creativity, and commitment to the company's values. Team Members are responsible for ensuring each customer experiences unparalleled hospitality and satisfaction.
Candidates should expect duties that include handling customer orders, operating the cash register, preparing ingredients, and maintaining food safety practices. The job requires physical stamina to handle continuous standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and navigating a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings or late nights
- Strong interpersonal skills for face-to-face interactions

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask and stay positive in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Interacts with Team members, customers, and vendors using DYNE's core values
- Delivers unparalleled hospitality to each customer that visits the cafe
- Prepares ingredients for food and smoothies
- Assembles and serves fresh food and smoothies according to Tropical Smoothie Cafe's standards
- Uses sanitation practices to handle and prepare food
- Sets up and monitors food and smoothie work stations
- Cleans and organizes kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms, and other cafe areas
- Operates the register including taking customer orders, handling cash, and being responsible for the drawer
- Follows all safety and security policies set by the brand
- Performs additional tasks necessary to run the cafe
